Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Lukas Åsell, trading as Speedrun (sole trader, Sweden) (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on speedruntrading.co (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions. It applies to the Site only and not to any third-party website you reach from it.
1 What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow a site to recognise your device on subsequent requests. Similar technologies, such as local storage, store data in your browser for the same purposes. In this Policy, “cookies” covers both.
Cookies may be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or are deleted. They may be set by us (first-party) or by a service we use (third-party).
2 Our legal basis
Under the ePrivacy rules as implemented in Sweden and the GDPR, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have expressly requested may be set without your consent. Any cookie that is not strictly necessary, for example analytics, advertising or profiling, requires your prior, informed and freely given consent.
Accordingly, we ask for your choice on first visit. The strictly necessary cookie in clause 3 is set regardless, because the Site cannot sign you in without it. Nothing in the analytics or marketing categories is set unless and until you select Accept all. Selecting Necessary only leaves those categories switched off, and the Site remains fully usable.
Your choice is stored in your browser under sr_consent, together with the date it was given, as our record of consent. You may withdraw or change it at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer; withdrawal takes effect immediately for anything set after that point.
3 Cookies we set
| NAME | PROVIDER | PURPOSE | TYPE | RETENTION |
|---|---|---|---|---|
sr_session | First party | Keeps you signed in. Contains your email address in encoded form together with a cryptographic signature that lets the server verify the cookie has not been altered. Set only after you log in. Marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, so it is not readable by scripts and is not sent on cross-site requests. | Strictly necessary | 30 days |
Without this cookie you cannot remain signed in, and purchased Bundles and lesson progress cannot be associated with your Account. It is therefore essential to a service you have requested.
4 Optional categories
The following categories are set only with your consent. Where a category is marked not currently in use, no such cookie is set today even if you have accepted it; the category is declared so that your choice is already recorded and respected when the service is introduced.
| CATEGORY | PURPOSE | STATUS |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics | Measuring how the Site is used (pages viewed, lessons opened, where visitors leave) so we can improve the course. Reporting is aggregated. | Consent required · in use: the Whop Pixel, below |
| Marketing | Measuring the effectiveness of our advertising and, where applicable, showing you relevant ads on third-party platforms. May involve sharing identifiers with advertising partners. | Consent required · not currently in use |
Analytics provider: the Whop Pixel
With your consent to analytics, the Site loads the Whop Pixel from Whop, Inc. (USA), the company that also processes our payments. It counts how many visitors open each bundle page, the free lessons and the checkout, so we can see where visitors lose interest. For each page view it sends Whop the page address, the time, your browser and device type, screen size, language and time zone, an identifier for your browser and a device fingerprint; Whop also receives your IP address. We see only totals per page. Without your consent the pixel is not loaded and nothing is sent.
| NAME | PROVIDER | PURPOSE | TYPE | RETENTION |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_wuid, _wuid_link | Whop, Inc., set on our domain | A random identifier for your browser, so a visitor is counted once and not once per page | Analytics · cookie | 400 days |
_wuid, _wsc, _wsc_probed_at, _wfp | Whop, Inc., in local storage | The same identifier, a Whop reference and a device fingerprint, for the same counting | Analytics · local storage | Until withdrawn or cleared |
The data is transferred to Whop in the USA; the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. Withdrawing consent through the Cookie settings link deletes these cookies and stored values from your browser and stops the pixel. Whop’s own handling is described in its privacy policy at whop.com/privacy.
5 Third-party cookies during payment
Payments are handled by Whop, Inc. When you begin checkout you are directed to Whop’s own checkout page on whop.com. Whop sets its own cookies on its own domain, under its own privacy policy and cookie policy, for purposes including payment processing and fraud prevention. We do not control those cookies and cannot set or read them.
See Whop’s privacy policy at whop.com/privacy.
6 Other storage used by the Site
Certain pages may store small preferences in your browser’s local storage (for example, which items you have ticked off in a checklist). This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
7 Fonts and external resources
The Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Requests to that service transmit your IP address to Google as a technical necessity of delivering the file. Google Fonts does not set cookies when serving font files. If you prefer to avoid this, you may block the domain in your browser; the Site remains usable with fallback typefaces.
8 How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. The relevant controls are usually found under Settings → Privacy. Note that blocking the cookie listed in clause 3 will prevent you from signing in and from accessing purchased Content. To change the choice you made in the consent dialog, use the Cookie settings link in the footer rather than your browser settings.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data

9 Your rights
Where cookies process personal data, you have the rights available under the GDPR, including the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Sweden this is Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), imy.se. To exercise a right, contact support@speedruntrading.org.
10 Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the cookies we use or to legal requirements. The version in force is the one published on this page, identified by the date above. Where we introduce a new provider or purpose in a category, we will update the tables above; where the change is material, the consent version is incremented and you will be asked to make your choice again.
